About the Event
This evening’s activities are kicked off with a talk from a St John Ambulance paramedic on our response to the Covid pandemic. Attendees will then be given first aid training and a tour around the museum, finishing with a glass of wine.
About:
St John Ambulance volunteers have given over one million hours of frontline care during the COVID-19 pandemic. This work includes, but is by no means limited to, critical care given in the Nightingale hospitals, vital patient transport and a leading role in helping to deliver vaccines to the public as part of the national response to combat COVID-19.
St John Gateway look forward to hosting an evening to hear some firsthand accounts of the St John Ambulance’s response to the pandemic and to also give us a chance to thank them for their contribution. There will be the opportunity for you to brush up on your first aid skills that could help you save a life. Volunteers will also be on hand to answer any questions that you might have should you be interested in volunteering with St John Ambulance.
There will be the opportunity to learn about the incredible history of the St John Ambulance over a glass of wine and we will share our plans for how the Gateway will help to raise vital funds so St John Ambulance’s volunteers can continue to provide us with this vital service.
